Organizations designated as terrorist by Canada

JERUSALEM - Serbia's Honorary Consul in Israel Aleksandar Nikolic said on Tuesday the Serbian embassy in the country was aware of the kidnapping of an Israeli Serbian citizen, 22-year-old Alon Ohel, by Hamas.

Police have apprehended five suspected members of the PKK during an operation in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır and seized a significant cache of weapons and explosives, Internal Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced.

The minister revealed that the suspects were allegedly in the midst of preparing a bomb attack.

The clashes that have recently erupted between the U.S.-backed PKK/YPG forces and Arab tribes in the eastern Syrian province of Deir el-Zour are foreseeable consequences of "some countries" supporting a terrorist organization to fight against the ISIL, the Turkish Defense Ministry has stated.

Afghanistan's ruling Taliban government has said it signed seven mining contracts amounting to $6.5 billion in investment, in the biggest such round of deals since seizing power two years ago.

The seven contracts are with locally based companies, many of whom have foreign partners in countries including China, Iran, and Türkiye.

Turkish Defense Ministry officials have strongly criticized the joint exercise conducted by the United States and the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in Syria, daily Hürriyet has reported.

The Defense Ministry has announced the neutralization of three PKK/YPG terrorists who were reportedly preparing to launch an attack in the Euphrates Shield Operation region situated in northern Syria.

"We do not leave the terrorist attempts to attack unanswered," the ministry declared in a statement on Aug. 21.

Within the framework of an Adana-based investigation into the activities and sabotage linked to the terrorist organization PKK/KCK in forest fires, authorities have detained five individuals suspected of financing the organization, with one of them subsequently arrested.

Supporters of the terrorist organization PKK have defaced the exterior wall of a mosque in the German state of Lower Saxony, marking it with the organization's name.

Türkiye has expressed strong condemnation over a recent act by the PKK terrorist organization in the Swedish capital Stockholm.
