Suicide bomber at political rally in Pakistan kills at least 44 people

A suicide bomber blew himself up at a political rally in a former stronghold of militants in northwest Pakistan bordering Afghanistan on Sunday, killing at least 44 people and wounding nearly 200 in an attack that a senior leader said was meant to weaken Pakistani Islamists.

Senior PKK member 'neutralized' in northern Iraq

The Turkish Armed Forces have neutralized a senior executive of the PKK in Iraq's north, according to sources from the Defense Ministry.

The operation targeted a group of terrorists reportedly preparing for an imminent attack in the Avasin region. With the support of air forces, the Turkish forces were able to neutralize the entire group, local media reported on July 16.

65 neutralized in June ops: Interior Minister

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced that a total of 65 terrorists were "neutralized" during operations conducted in June.

The minister expressed in a recent social media post his gratitude to the gendarmerie and security forces "who tirelessly combat terrorism to protect the nation and its flag," affirming that the fight against terror would persist until its eradication.

The Death Toll from Israeli Bombings in the Gaza Strip has risen to 32

The number of victims of Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip rose to 32, including six children, AFP reported, citing health authorities in the territory controlled by Hamas. More than 200 Palestinians were injured in the bombing.

"Islamic Jihad" retaliated with rocket fire against Israel. More than 400 rockets were fired, most of them were intercepted.
