Anti-state rebels in squabbles with motorcycle police at Patission Street
A policeman appears to have been injured from attacks by anti-state rebels at Patission street, near the Athens Center. The squabbles between the attackers and the DIAS motorcycle police took place near the Athens Polytechnic.
Private MEGA TV reported that following the attack, the rebels disappeared via Stournari Street.
Swiss authorities confirm arrest of two Syrians ‘transporting explosives’
Two Syrian nationals were arrested in Geneva on Friday accused of the “manufacture, concealment and transport of explosives and toxic gases”, the federal prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
They are also under suspicion of violating Swiss law prohibiting “groups like Al-Qaeda, Islamic State and similar organisations”, it added.

EU Commission Acts to Step up Fight against Terrorism
The European Commission has adopted a set of measures to scale up the common response to terrorism and the illegal trafficking of firearms and explosives in the wake of November 13 Paris attacks.
