World’s largest museum for an artist opens in Oslo

To Edvard Munch, they were his children. And like any doting father, he hated the idea of them straying too far from home.Now, more than 26,000 artworks from the master expressionist's "family," including his best known piece, "The Scream," have moved under one roof in the enormous and custom-built MUNCH museum on the shore of Oslo Fjord.

Norway's Police Downgrade Threat Level

Norwegian police said on Wednesday they had lowered the national threat assessment, but still regarded an attack by militants as a possibility, reported Reuters. 

The risk level was lowered to "possible" from "likely", reversing an April decision to raise the threat assessment following an Oslo bomb scare and an attack in neighboring Sweden, where four people were killed.

Economist Intelligence Unit: Singapore Most Expensive City Worldwide

The survey compares living expenses in a given city to living expenses in New York as a base.

Memory Wound Monument to Honor Victims of Norway Massacre

Swedish artist Jonas Dahlberg was selected to create official memorials at the sites of the 2011 Norwegian massacres carried out by right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik.

Dahlberg has been chosen to design two public art installations that will memorialize the victims killed July 22, 2011 in an Oslo car bombing and a subsequent mass shooting on the island of Utøya.
