Bosnia Entity Halts Projects With China Over Coronavirus Fears
The Serb-led entity in Bosnia, Republika Srpska, has halted all projects being implemented with Chinese companies owing to concerns about the possible spread of the coronavirus.
Milorad Dodik, Serbian member of the Bosnian Presidency, announced the move on Sunday to Serbian television Pink, noting the potential economic consequences of the continued spread of the virus.

He stressed that the Republika Srpska Parliament is a key venue for all decisions and that only it can speak on behalf of the people.
"We must not hesitate to make decisions that are important to our future. This time, we are serious and we will not accept any other direction," Dodik said.

Serb region threatens Bosnia secession over judges row
Bosnian Serbs threatened on Feb. 17 to secede in a bid to rid Bosnia's top court of foreign judges, risking another political crisis.
The parliament in Republika Srpska -- which shares some central institutions with the Muslim-Croat Federation -- gave a 60-day deadline for reform of Bosnia's Constitutional Court.

Constitutional Law Professor Vladan Kutlesic believes that from the point of view of law there is no possibility to challenge the decision of the Constitutional Court in Sarajevo that agricultural land in Republika Srpska is Bosnia-Herzegovina's property, but adds that the decision changes the provisions of the Dayton Agreement.

He also said that Republika Srpska has embarked on a path of secession from Bosnia-Herzegovina, a road with no return.
"We will do this and we will not be stopped by the United States or anyone else, because we believe that the Dayton Agreement has been broken, primarily by the intervention of an international factor", Dodik told reporters in East Sarajevo.

Bosnian Serbs on Jan. 9 held celebrations to mark the anniversary of the founding of the small entity -- Republika Srpska -- in defiance of Bosnia's top court ruling.
A parade in northern Banja Luka city -- de facto capital of the entity -- started the celebrations, which was supported by the senior members of the Republika Srpska government.
