Oxford–AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine

 A new AstraZeneca vaccine batch, consisting of 163,200 doses, will arrive on Thursday at the "Cantacuzino" National Institute for Medical-Military Development Research, the National Coordinating Committee for Vaccination against COVID-19 Activities (CNCAV) informs. "The transport is provided by the producing company, and the vaccine doses will be brought to Bucharest by land.

The National Committee for vaccination against COVID (CNCAV) informs that within the last 24 hours there were 43,319 vaccine doses administered, of which 28,615 - Pfizer, 5,372 - Moderna and 9,332 from AstraZeneca, according to the data provided by the National Institute of Public Health through the National Electronic Vaccination Registry.

The National COVID Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) informs that according to data provided by the National Public Health Institute through the National Electronic Vaccinations Registry app, 37,137 people have received the coronavirus jab in the past 24 hours, with 27,290 injected with the Pfizer vaccine, 3,035 with the Moderna, and 6,812 with the AstraZeneca serum.

The vaccination of people aged between 60 and 64 years old with the AstraZeneca vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 began in Greece on Monday.

The program runs parallel to the inoculation of persons aged over 75 years old and frontline medical staff with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

Vaccination with AstraZeneca vaccine kicks off on Monday in centres across the country. More than 142,000 people are scheduled to be vaccinated with this serum, according to the COVID-19 vaccination information platform's Facebook page. Drugmaker AstraZeneca says it will work with German firm IDT Biologika to increase shipments of its Covid-19 vaccine to the European Union this spring following a heated dispute with the bloc over delayed vaccine deliveries.

Greece has vaccinated 4.46 percent of its population so far, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

According to ministry data, a total of 446,780 vaccinations of both the first and second dose have been administered.
