Pahor agrees to organise international conference on tolerance
Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor has agreed to organise an international conference on tolerance in the spring in cooperation with the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts EASA.

Pahor meets protest leader after calls for resignation of government
Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor held talks on Monday with Zoran Stevanović, the initiator of recent protests against the Covid pass mandate who demands that the government step down. Stevanović wanted Pahor to endorse the calls but Pahor turned down the request.
Latvian president visiting Slovenia
Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor will host his Latvian counterpart Egils Levits on an official visit on Tuesday and Wednesday, which will be an opportunity to mark the 30th anniversary of Slovenia-Latvia diplomatic relations. Levits will also be received by National Assembly Speaker Igor Zorčič.

Pahor meets Guterres, Lavrov as he completes New York trip
New York – President Borut Pahor met UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in New Yorl on Friday after he addressed the 76th session of the UN General Assembly stressing the need for dialogue.

He emphasises the importance of dialogue, including with those one does not agree with, which will also be one of the points of his address to the General Assembly on Friday.
Pahor meets Erdogan on sidelines of UN General Assembly
New York, 22 September – President Borut Pahor, who is in New York for the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, held several bilateral meetings on Tuesday, including with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss cooperation, Afghanistan and migrations. He also attended an event marking 30 years of Slovenia’s independence.

New York – Slovenian President Borut Pahor and South Korean President Moon Jae-in exchanged state decorations as they held talks on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly meeting on Monday.
