Dozens Killed and Injured after an Explosion in a Pakistani Mosque

An explosion at a mosque in Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar on Monday killed at least 28 and injured more than 100 others, many of the victims were police officers who had gathered for daily payers, Reuters reported.

The mosque was located near a police housing building and had about 260 people inside it when the blast occurred, local police said.

An unidentified man opened fire on a bus traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Five of the passengers were injured and one was killed, NBC News reported, citing authorities.

There were about 40 people in the bus.

The driver of the vehicle, which drove about 40 people, pulled off the road and stopped near Bakersfield just after the shooting began.

Bomb Blast at Quetta Mosque Killed at least 12 People

A bomb exploded at a mosque in the Pakistani city of Quetta during a prayer Friday night, Turkish daily Sabah reported on Thursday. A senior police officer and at least 11 others have been killed, police said. Another 11 people were injured.

The target of the attack was likely to have been the killed police officer, but authorities will investigate the case.
