Kimoulis tipped to become managing director at SNF cultural center
Actor Giorgos Kimoulis is tipped to become managing director at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) on the south coast of Athens, Kathimerini understands.
The state-of-the-art complex in Faliro will house the National Library of Greece and the Greek National Opera.
Bank robbers linked to Roupa, fugitive Palaiocostas
Police in Athens believe that two men arrested as part of an operation to locate the fugitive urban guerrilla Pola Roupa may also be linked to Greece's Number One jailbird, Vassilis Palaiocostas.
The suspects are thought to be part of a gang of five that conducted numerous armed robberies at banks and other businesses, and have also been tied to murders and a kidnapping.

Footy lawyer shot thrice in leg by hooded gunmen
A young lawyer with links to Greek football clubs was ambushed by two hooded men outside his office in the district of Paleo Faliro, south of Athens.
The attack took place at 5.45 p.m. while the lawyer was straddling his motorbike. The two gunmen shot him three times in the leg. He is now in hospital in a serious condition.
