Moto Expo opens at Tae Kwon Do Stadium in Palaio Faliro
Moto Expo 2023 opened to the public on Wednesday at the Tae Kwon Do Stadium (Faliro Olympic Arena) in Palaio Faliro, southern Athens.
The annual event, centered around motorcycles, ATVs, scooters and mopeds, is held under the auspices of the Association of Motorcycle Importers of Greece (SEME) and will end on Sunday, April 2.
Teen gang stealing from shops dismantled
Police said on Wednesday they had dismantled a gang of minors accused of systematically stealing from shops in areas of Attica.
The gang has been linked to 26 cases of theft from shops in Omonia, Kypseli, Galatsi, Ambelokipi, Palaio Faliro, Peristeri, Aegaleo and Nikaia and one house. A 16-year-old Greek and two Albanian nationals, aged 15 and 17, were arrested on Tuesday.

Tram services to resume between Neo and Palaio Faliro
Trams are scheduled to start running again on the section of track connecting the southern Athens coastal districts of Palaio Faliro and Neo Faliro on Monday after it was temporarily closed due to construction work for the renovation of the Faliro Bay area in March 2020.
Lamda to assume controlling stake in Flisvos Marina
The governing board of listed firm Lamda Development has decided to partially revise the allocation of the funds it raised in a recent 650-million-euro share capital increase.
It will now use €12.4 million to acquire a stake in Lamda Marinas Investments SMSA, the company that controls and manages Flisvos Marina at Palaio Faliro in southern Athens.
Steps sought to prevent Attica residents from flocking to seaside
As daytime temperatures start to rise and lockdown fatigue sets in, the government and local officials at seaside Attica municipalities are seeking ways to discourage citizens from flocking to the capital's beaches and coastal promenades for their daily constitutionals.
Armed robbery in southern Athens suburb
An armed robber targeted a branch of the National Bank of Greece on Monday in the southern Athens coastal suburb of Palaio Faliro.
According to reports, the hooded assailant entered the bank and held up the staff by brandishing a gun, before making off with an undisclosed sum of money.

Police search for armed robbery suspect
Police are searching for a man accused of robbing the National Bank branch on Amfitryonos Street in Palaio Faliro south of Athens on Monday morning.
Nobody was injured during the robbery, but the man, who was wearing a mask, did point a gun at the clerk.
The man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Governor takes aim at flyposters
Attica Regional Governor Giorgos Patoulis has called for traffic police to take action against people who put up illegal posters in the city because of the threat they pose to citizens.
Patoulis said the uncontrolled phenomenon of flyposting is a safety concern that could put people's lives at risk.

Body found washed up in Palaio Faliro
Police were trying to identify a man whose body was found washed up on a rocky shoreline in Palaio Faliro south of Athens on Sunday.
The man, who is around 170 centimeters tall, was dressed in black trousers, a khaki cardigan and a blue jacket.
The cause of his death has not been determined as results are still awaited on toxicology and histology tests.
