Israel pledges to halt West Bank power cuts
Israel will stop cutting power to Palestinian cities over unpaid bills and will deduct funds from tax money to prevent the debt increasing, a government official said on Feb. 26.
The official also said Israel would connect water to a Palestinian city so that it can be inhabited, after a minister's objection had been overruled.

UN chief accepts Palestinian ICC membership
U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon has accepted the request by Palestine to join the International Criminal Court, a move that would open the way for war crimes complaints against Israel.
The decision grants the Hague-based ICC jurisdiction to open cases starting April 1 on serious crimes committed in the Palestinian territories, despite fierce opposition from Israel and the United States.

Hamas 'totally opposed' to Abbas plan for new UN bid
Hamas said Jan. 5 it was "totally opposed" to Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas's plans to re-submit to the UN Security Council a resolution on ending Israel's occupation which failed last week.
"Hamas is totally opposed to any return to the UN Security Council by the Palestinian Authority," spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said in a statement.
Palestine to Resubmit Resolution to UN Security Council
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced that he was planning to resubmit the UN Security Council resolution on ending the occupation of Palestinian territories by Israel.
Abbas stated that Palestine is to submit the resolution until the Security Council recognises it as a state under occupation, Sky News Arabia quoted him as saying on Sunday.
