Ruling AKP denounces UAE-Israel deal
Turkey's ruling party on Aug. 15 criticized the deal between the United Arab Emirates and Israel to normalize ties as a "political suicide" against the Palestinian cause.
It is also an attempt to eradicate a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine proposed by the international community, Ömer Çelik, spokesman for the AKP said on Twitter.

Petralona attack being probed
Police in the Athens neighborhood of Petralona on Wednesday were investigating an attack on a young man by a group of assailants that left him with injuries including knife wounds.
The victim was approached and encircled by the attackers in Merkouri Square, according to the police, who did not give details about the suspected motive for the attack.

Man stabbed in bus in northern Athens
A man was stabbed in a bus in the northern Athenian suburb of Dionysos late Friday night, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
According to police sources cited by the news agency, the attack happened during a fight with a group of unknown individuals while the bus was moving on Thiseos avenue. After the stabbing, the assailants fled.

Palestinian armed wing calls for attacks on Israel
The armed wing of Gaza-based resistance faction Islamic Jihad called on Palestinians on Feb. 7 to attack Israeli military checkpoints.
"We call for comprehensive and direct conflict as long as the opportunities are available and to embark on the path of fighting and freedom," Abu Hamza, the spokesperson of the al-Quds Brigades, said on Twitter.
