The members of the Government led by Prime Minister Florin Citu have taken, on Wednesday evening, at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace, the oath of office, occasion on which President Klaus Iohannis spoke shortly about the objectives of the new team and told them "Get to work!".

Voting "for" the list of ministers and the governing programme were 260 deputies and senators, while 186 voted "against". The vote was secret with urns and tokens and was granted for both the governing programme, as well as for the ministers' list.

The Prime Minister-designate, Florin Citu, on Tuesday said that he would do everything possible to have "a stable and long-lasting governing".

The restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus remain in force over Christmas and New Year's Eve, said, on Friday, President Klaus Iohannis.
