Car in tragic motorway crash had reached 200 km/per hour, expert says

Around 1,800 people have died over the past year, between the death of popular singer Pantelis Pantelidis in February 2016 and Sunday's tragic accident in which four people were killed on the Athens-Lamia national highway, road safety expert Tassos Markouizos told Skai on Tuesday.

In deep emotional atmosphere, the memorial service for Pantelis Pantelidis is conducted at Aghios Spyridonas church at Nea Ionia by his family.

Many friends, colleagues and fans of the famous singer, who lost his life tragically when his car crashed onto the road barriers, gathered at the church to pay their tribute to their loved singer and friend.

Dozens of fans of Pantelis Pantelidis were gathered on Saturday night at the point where the famous singer lost his life when his car crashed onto the road barriers on Thursday.

People of all ages went to leave a flower and light a candle paying their tribute to their beloved singer, while singing his songs.

The announcement of the death of popular singer Pantelis Pantelidis left everyone shocked.

Pantelidis died in a car crash early on Thursday when he lost control of the car he was driving and crashed against the road barriers. Two women were also on the car and are still hospitalized, one in very serious condition.

The famous Greek singer, Pantelis Pantelidis, was killed  in a fatal car accident occurred on Vouliagmenis Avenue at 8:30 on Thursday.

The singer driving a Mercedes lost control of the car around a sharp turn and the car hit on the guard rails. The rescuers who arrived at the scene, they managed to pull out the driver and two passengers.
