Parliament summons Anti-Money Laundering chief regarding Petsitis
Deputy Parliament Speaker Tasia Christodoulopoulou (SYRIZA) has announced that she consents to summoning Anti-Money Laundering Authority Chief Anna Zairi and the head of the Authority's investigation of the DEPA-ELFE (Hellenic Fertilizers and Chemicals) affair, who resigned in the middle of the probe, to appear before the Parliamentary Committee on Transparency.
Minister Nikos Pappas says school chum Petsitis was not working with him
With the opposition clamouring for a full investigation of the case of Manolis Petsitis, Digital Policy Minister Nikos Pappas, a schoolmate and friend of Petsitis, is now distancing himself from the erstwhile friend.
Ministers and government cadres have also distanced themselves from Petsitis declaring that the case should be exhaustively probed by the judiciary.
Greek opposition calls for explanations into Petsitis affair
Greece's conservative opposition Monday requested that the head of the country's anti-money laundering authority, Anna Zairi, appear before the Parliament's Institutions and Transparency Committee to respond to questions about the alleged scandal involving government aide Manolis Petsitis, as well as the reported dismissal of a senior official investigating the case.

Greece, North Macedonia agree to lower roaming charges
Officials from North Macedonia and Greece signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Skopje on Tuesday on the mutual reduction of roaming charges.

Media minister decries bombing attack on Skai, Kathimerini as 'abhorrent'
Media Minister Nikos Pappas on Tuesday labeled the bombing attack against the headquarters of Skai television and Kathimerini newspaper on Athens's southern coast the previous day as an "abhorrent and despicable act."

What did the bombers who targeted Kathimerini and Skai ultimately accomplish? Sure, they caused damage, which will be repaired, at a time when every euro counts. But beyond that? Did they think that they would terrorize the journalists into silence, make them stop talking and writing? As if we would. We will not weep or be intimidated.

OASTH chief sees burglary as attempt to obstruct body's liquidation
In a statement on Friday, Stelios Pappas, the head of the Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization (OASTH) described the burglary of his home on Thursday night as an attempt to hamper efforts to liquidate the company.
The burglary, during which only a laptop was stolen, was "a targeted intervention," Pappas said in a statement.
