Russian pilot heavily injured after falling 70 meters in parachute accident in Turkey's Fethiye

A Russian pilot was heavily wounded on Sept. 23 after falling 70 meters while parachuting in the Fethiye district of the Aegean province of Muğla, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The pilot, identified as İlia Ivanov, was in the touristic town of Ölüdeniz for parachuting purposes.

Twelve American Paratroopers have gone through a Hospital after an Excercice in Romania

On Saturday, 12 US paratroopers were admitted to hospital after minor injuries suffered during a parachute jumping in Romania, the Army Times reported, quoted by Focus.

The hospital said 11 of the soldiers were enrolled on Sunday. From the hospital they added that one of the injured had hurt his spine and would remain for observation for two more days.

Russian tourist dies in parachute accident in Turkey's Fethiye

A Russian tourist died on May 5 in a parachute accident in the Aegean resort of Fethiye, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The 26-year-old Anastasia Zakharova came to Fethiye for both vacation and parachute training. She climbed to the Babadağ Mountain at around 10:30 a.m. and made a solo jump from the 1,700 meter court.

BELGRADE - The Guinness World Record holder for the "highest fall survived without a parachute," Vesna Vulovic, has been found dead in her apartment in Serbia. Back in 1972, the former stewardess survived a 10,160-meter fall from a plane that exploded midair.
