The rights of the 150,000 Romanians who work as lorry drivers on European roads must be observed as provided for in the national legislation, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Raluca Turcan wrote on Facebook on Thursday. She met in Brussels European Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean.

Drivers who park in visitors’ places in controlled parking zones will have to pay the corresponding fee depending on the parking’s duration

The Environment and Urbanization Ministry has put the final touch on a regulation that will make parking lots mandatory when buildings are being built, with requirements having been shaped according to the size of the apartments in the buildings.

In an effort to encourage citizens to avoid public transport as part of the push to contain the spread of the coronavirus, the City of Athens will allow free parking in slots marked P-69 for 14 days as of Wednesday. 

After 10 years one of the underground parking lots to the Sofia Metro can be opened for use. This is the facility at the Vassil Levski Stadium, most of which has been in construction since May 2009, when this metro station was launched.

The Green Parking Zone in four Sofia areas will be expanded from November 1. 1,500 new places in the Vazrazhdane district, 700 in Krasno Selo. The places for paid parking will be increased by 2200 in Lozenets and 1100 in Oborishte.

"The purpose of enlargement is not so much for profits but to bring order in the city.

The Blue and Green parking zones in Sofia will be closed today due to severe weather conditions, said the press office of the Urban Mobility Centre (UMC). Clearing parking lots in front of schools, kindergartens and public buildings will take priority.
