Chamber to consider coronavirus state of alert gov't bill

A bill initiated by the government on measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in a state of alert will be debated and voted on today by the Chamber of Deputies. The bill will be considered by the specialist committees, which will issue a report that will be submitted to the Chamber at today's meeting for a plenary vote.

Draft law on Szeklerland autonomy, rejected by Romanian Senate

The Senate, as a decision-making body, on Wednesday rejected the draft law on the autonomy of the Szeklerland, which provided that it would become an autonomous region with legal personality. Senators voted by telephone in favour of the rejection report drawn up by the Administrative Committee - 126 votes "in favour" and 9 "against".

Parliament meets for investiture of Citu Government

Parliament convenes to discuss censure motion

The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies have convened in a joint meeting to discuss and vote on a motion of censure tabled by the Social Democratic Party (PSD) after Government passed legislation on two-round mayoral elections by assuming responsibility.
