Turkish, Russian, Iranian, and Syrian deputy foreign ministers will meet in Russia's capital Moscow on March 15-16 for talks on Syria, according to diplomatic sources.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on March 9 expressed his hope that the spirit of solidarity displayed after the earthquakes is reflected in the other dimensions of the Türkiye-European Union relations as well.

A Turkish delegation will visit Moscow next week for technical talks ahead of a planned foreign ministers' meeting of Türkiye, Russia, Iran and Syria, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on March 8.

The mood in Ankara was not a bright one in the aftermath of the meeting between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Washington, as it did not produce the results it anticipated, at least based on what is being discussed publicly. 

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has reiterated Ankara's expectation over the smooth supply of 40 new F-16s and 79 modernization kits for the existing fleets from the United States, saying that the matter waits for the approval of Congress.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will start a three-day African tour that will include Senegal, Ghana and Benin, the ministry said in a written statement on Oct. 24.

The world is shaken by the effects of the war in Ukraine and tested by war, although the wounds of the Covid-19 pandemic were not healed yet, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said emphasizing that global stability and prosperity were under threat, and that rising energy and food prices threatened the whole world.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) recognized Russia as a terrorist state. 99 members of the assembly supported the resolution entitled "Further Escalation of the Russian Federation's Aggression Against Ukraine". Only 1 of the delegates abstained.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has announced that he will be representing his country at the funeral of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II on Sept. 19.

"I will visit the U.K. capital, London, on Monday and participate [in the funeral of the Queen] as a representative of Türkiye," he said on Sept. 14.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu reiterated Türkiye's warning toward Greece against further provocation in the eastern Mediterranean and Aegean.
