Greece is the dominant European market for investors looking for high returns in tourism-related luxury property, new market data have highlighted.

More treasures coming to light in Despotiko
A photo released by the Ministry of Culture on Tuesday shows an excavation at Despotiko, a small uninhabited islet off the coast of Antiparos in the Cyclades. A temple dedicated to Apollo has already been discovered on the site, which is believed to have been a sanctuary in the 4th century BC, but recent work revealed the ruins of more buildings, as well as fragments of ancient statues.

Santorini voted top choice among Europe's islands
Santorini as well as hotels on the Cycladic island have been included among the top choices of the Travel + Leisure magazine for holidays in Europe in 2017, in a vote by the international publication's readers.
Santorini ranked first among Europe's top islands and fifth in the world.
The European Top 10 also included Crete (fourth), Paros (fifth) and Rhodes (sixth).

Swingers’ cruise ship sets sail from Piraeus port (video)

Anarchists vandalize banks in show of solidarity for jailed robber
Groups of self-styled anarchists vandalized the facades of banks on Akadimias Street in central Athens on Monday during a protest to express solidarity with the jailed robber Tasos Theofilou.
Theofilou has been in prison since his arrest for an armed robbery on the island of Paros in 2012 and a final ruling on his case is expected in the coming days.
