Bosniak politician Senad Bratic quit as vice-speaker of the assembly in Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity, Republika Srpska, RS, on Wednesday - after the party to which he belongs passed a controversial declaration at its recent party congress that landed him in hot political water.

Serbia's President stated this while commenting on the statement by Zoran Milanovic, a candidate for Croatia's President, who said if he won, he would "reduce the relations with Serbia to a minimum and would not allow Vucic to walk where he wanted".

Milorad Dodik, the Serbian member of the state presidency in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has called a session of parliament in Bosnia's Serb-led entity, Republika Srpska, where he will urge MPs to block a lawsuit against Croatia over the issue of the Peljesac Bridge.

June 19 is marked each year by the United Nations as the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict in an attempt to raise awareness of the need to put an end to conflict-related sexual violence, and to honour the victims.

Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik also participated in the conversation with Madic, an opposition politician from Montenegro.

He added that it what is problematic is "that hysteria starts every time in the Federation of BiH (the Muslim-Croat entity, FBiH) when Serbs try to say they are still here and will stay here."

The Serb Republic (RS) is the Serb entity in BiH, the other being the Muslim-Croat Federation (FBiH).

Dodik, a former president of the Serb entity in BiH, the Serb Republic (RS), expressed "gratitude and satisfaction with the desire, determination and intention of Serbia and President Aleksandar Vucic to continuously assist citizens and municipalities of the RS."

The chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) believes that Croats in that country, too, "certainly would not miss this opportunity to break away from BiH."

"The Serb Republic (RS) and I will follow what is Belgrade's position," Dodik said in Brussels.
