New hunt for missing Beatles bass guitar

A guitar expert and two journalists have launched a global hunt for a missing bass guitar owned by Paul McCartney, bidding to solve what they brand "the greatest mystery in rock and roll."

The trio of lifelong Beatles fans are searching for McCartney's original Höfner bass - last seen in London in 1969 - in order to reunite the instrument with the former Fab Four frontman.

McCartney daughter gives intimate tour of Abbey Road

The daughter of pop megastar Paul McCartney has given an intimate peek into the hallowed halls of Abbey Road, the studio where he and many other music stars recorded masterpieces. 

Mary McCartney directed the new documentary, "If These Walls Could Sing," which gets a worldwide release on Disney+ on January 6 after premiering in North America in December.       

Missing Beatles tablecloth returned

A tablecloth that all four members of The Beatles doodled on before a 1966 show has been returned to its California owners more than five decades after it was stolen.

The one-of-a-kind souvenir was created by the Fab Four as they feasted on steak ahead of a concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, their last ticketed performance.

James Bond theme composer Monty Norman dies aged 94

British composer Monty Norman, best known for writing the iconic theme music for the James Bond films, died on July 11 at the age of 94, his official website announced.

"It is with sadness we share the news that Monty Norman died on 11th July 2022 after a short illness," read the statement.
Norman was born Monty Noserovitch in east London, to Jewish parents, on April 4, 1928.

Glastonbury Festival welcomes back fans after pandemic

Thousands of people are returning to England's Glastonbury Festival as the five-day music and performing arts event reopened on June 22 for the first time in three years after being disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Headliners on the main Pyramid Stage include former Beatle Paul McCartney, U.S. singer Eilish and rapper Lamar.
