Kammenos appears to warm up to…drachma prospect

The most recent convert to a possible return to the drachma is none other than the leader of the small rightist-populist Independent Greeks’ (AN.EL) party, Panos Kammenos.

In statements to a local radio station on Monday, the former defence minister, former ND minister and former anti-bailout polemicist stated:

Burglars target Independent Greeks deputy's home

Police in Pikermi, east Attica, were investigating a break-in at the home of Independent Greeks deputy Pavlos Haikalis in the early hours of Saturday.

According to initial reports, unknown assailants broke into the MP’s residence from a balcony before removing jewelry and a service handgun registered to his wife, a police officer.
