Time's Up: Last Call for Tax Returns in Bulgaria

For those utilizing electronic services, the deadline is midnight, while those opting for paper submissions at revenue agency offices must do so by 5:30 pm.

Portal for tax declarations has opened
The online portal has opened on Taxisnet for the submission of tax returns for the incomes of 2023, with the final date for their submission being Friday July 26.

Submission of tax returns to start soon on Taxisnet
Within the next few days, Taxisnet is expected to open for the submission of tax returns for individuals, Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis said on Tuesday, referring to an announcement by AADE on the start of the time for submission of returns by businesses.
Multi-tranche repay plans being brought back for tax debtors
The government is offering the opportunity for tax debtors to rejoin any arrangements that they did not keep up with in the past. In particular, they can rejoin the permanent regulation of 24 to 48 tranches, the special provisions of the pandemic and the energy crisis (72 installments), as well as the arrangements of 100 and 120 tranches.
Discount of 3% for paying tax due in one go
Taxpayers who choose to pay the total amount of their income tax dues this year in one lump sum by July 31 will secure a 3% discount, according to the amendment the National Economy and Finance Ministry submitted in Parliament.

Time for tax declarations and ENFIA dues
The time is fast approaching when the online platforms for tax declarations and the payment of the ENFIA property tax will be activated, with ministry sources placing the first in the last week of March and the second in early April.
This will mean the platform for tax declarations will open earlier than any other year, as this did not happen until March 31 in 2023.

ENFIA payable in 11 tranches this year
The installments for the payment of the Single Property Tax (ENFIA) are increasing with an amendment submitted by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance to Parliament. At the same time, the deadlines for submitting the E9 form of realty declarations for those who want to make corrections are changing, while properties affected by natural disasters are exempted from ENFIA.
