The village of Chernookovo in the Dobrich region of Bulgaria was rocked by a horrifying incident that left the community reeling in disbelief and outrage. The brutal murder of five one-month-old puppies has sent shockwaves through the tight-knit community, leaving residents stunned and grieving.

Bulgarian composer Penka Kouneva became one of the winners of the most prestigious Grammy Music Award with her participation in the album "Women Warriors: Voices of Change". The album won in the "Classic Collection" category. Kouneva has worked in Hollywood as a composer and orchestrator for more than 20 years.

"We are quite far from the creation of a Bulgarian vaccine against coronavirus and we should not wait for it," Prof. Penka Petrova, director of the Institute of Microbiology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, has told BNR. However, the director of the Department of Immunology at the institute and former ITN MP Prof. Andrey Chobanov said that the drug would be presented on October 5.

The National Cinema Council, chaired by Vladimir Andreev, selected the film "Aga" by director Milko Lazarov for a Bulgarian proposal in the competition for the Academy Award for Foreign Film.

Co-produced by Germany, France and Bulgaria, with the participation of BNT, the film has won prestigious cinema honors.
