Greece's top corruption prosecutor Eleni Touloupaki ordered the Athens prosecutors offie to bring bribery charges against Movement for Change (KINAL) lawmaker Andreas Loverdos, as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged graft scandal involving Swiss drugmaker Novartis.
DNA requests three-year prison sentence for Calin Popescu-Tariceanu
National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) prosecutors have requested, on Tuesday, at the Supreme Court, a three-year prison sentence for Senate's President Calin Popescu Tariceanu, in the file in which he is accused of perjury.
Central Bank governor files lawsuit against witnesses in Novartis case
Central Bank Governor Yannis Stournaras has filed a lawsuit against two protected witnesses in the Novartis bribery case accusing them of perjury and slander, reports said Wednesday.
On Tuesday, a corruption prosecutor investigating the case ordered the opening of ten bank accounts and disclosure of other assets belonging to the prominent politicians named in the case file.
Glyfada burglar shooter released
An 88-year-old man who was charged with shooting two burglars that entered his home in Glyfada, southern Athens, on Monday has been granted conditional release.
He will not be able to leave the country pending his trial.
The man, who reports said appeared frail in court, told a prosecutor on Tuesday that he opened fire out of fear and had no intention to kill.

Former socialist minister and ex PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos on Tuesday resorted to legal action over a prosecutors' report alleging that he and another nine Greek politicians accepted bribes from Swiss drugs manufacturer Novartis.

Father gets life for murder of his daughter, aged 4
An Athens court handed life terms Tuesday to 27-year-old Stanislav Bakardjev and his 30-year-old codefendant, Nazif Ahmedov for the 2015 murder and mutilation of 4-year-old Ani.
The girl's mother, 25-year-old Dimitrina Borisova, was found guilty of exposing the child to danger. She was given a six-year suspended sentence and granted conditional release.
