UK nationals residing legally in Greece will retain right to stay after Brexit
United Kingdom citizens and their family members, irrespective of nationality, who are permanent residents of Greece will have an established right of residence in the country after December 31, when the transition period under the Withdrawal Agreement with the European Union comes to an end, according to a Migration Ministry announcement on Monday.
Children born as of Wednesday will receive 2,000 euros each
A special handout of 2,000 euros for every child born in Greece will be voted into law after Parliament starts work again in the new year but will apply retroactively as of January 1, 2020.
15,000 UK citizens seek Cyprus residence permit
Approximately 15,000 UK citizens have applied to get residence permits in Cyprus since the 2016 UK EU membership referendum. Currently a total of 32,281 residence permits for UK citizens are in force.

Swiss Scrap Work Limits on Bulgarians, Romanians
Citizens of Bulgaria and Romania will enjoy the same working rights in Switzerland as other citizens of the European Union from June 1.
The Swiss government is lifting its restrictions on workers of the two Balkan countries, as the seven-year-transition period, set from 2009, on the free movement of persons agreement between the EU and Switzerland, expired on May 31.

New draft bill opens way for foreign employment in Turkey
A new draft bill regulating permission to work for foreigners in Turkey will open the path for foreigners to work in many jobs that need a specific profession with an "extraordinary" work permit.
The "draft bill on the employment of foreigners," which was presented to parliament to be discussed and voted on, will widen the jobs in which foreigners can work.
