Persecution of Christians by ISIL

An ongoing investigation into the ISIL terrorist organization in Istanbul has revealed that a subgroup crafted a so-called charter to regulate its activities in Türkiye.

A total of 23 individuals are currently on trial under detention for allegedly conducting illegal mosque and madrasa operations within ISIL, under the "Ahidder" banner.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced the arrest of 216 suspects in coordinated operations across 45 provinces targeting ISIL operatives.

The large-scale security operation, which included the major cities of Ankara, Istanbul and İzmir, was conducted with the assistance of chief public prosecutor's offices and law enforcement, Yerlikaya said in an X post on Oct. 28.

Turkish security forces have detained 88 suspects linked to the ISIL in coordinated operations across the country, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said in a written statement on Sept. 20.

The raids spanned 23 of the country's 81 provinces, including the capital Ankara, Istanbul and Antalya.

Intelligence shared by Turkish authorities with Russia prevented a second attack planned by the ISIL-K terrorist organization following its deadly assault on a concert hall in Moscow in March, daily Hürriyet has reported.

Turkish police have detained dozens of ISIL suspects in coordinated operations across four provinces, including Istanbul, as authorities reveal that the detainees were among those who funded the group.

WASHINGTON - Five years ago this month, a US-backed Kurdish and Arab militia ousted Islamic State group fighters from a village in eastern Syria, the group's last sliver of territory.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced the arrest of 147 individuals in coordinated operations targeting ISIL across 33 provinces.

With Turkish authorities escalating their pressure on ISIL after the deadly church attack in Istanbul on Jan. 28, the intelligence and security forces have dealt a blow to the terrorist organization's so-called Khorasan structure.

In a joint operation conducted by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the police, 29 suspects, who were preparing to attack synagogues and churches, as well as the Iraqi Embassy in Türkiye, have been captured.

The Turkish security forces have apprehended five individuals determined to have been providing financial support to members of the ISIL terrorist organization, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced.
