Rate of Turkish people expressing happiness rises: Data
The rate of Turkish people aged 18 and above declaring themselves happy reached 52.7 percent in 2023, indicating an approximately 3 percent increase compared to the previous year, according to a survey by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).

A Slovenian start-up that has found success with a peculiar bird feeder has raised almost three million euros in a second Kickstarter for two new products.

National Geographic names Hiša Franko one of Europe’s best gourmet getaways
Hiša Franko, the restaurant run by the Slovenian Michelin-starred chef Ana Roš in the Soča Valley, has been picked as one of Europe's best gourmet getaways by the National Geographic.
On 7 April, the UK-based magazine National Geographic Traveller released the list of 23 iconic European restaurants that it says merit saving up and planning a short trip around them.
Survey: More Bulgarians are Satisfied with their Standard of Living Now compared to 2018
Bulgarians are happier and more satisfied compared to 2018, and the share of those who think that their happiness depends entirely on themselves is increasing. This is shown by a study by the marketing consulting and research agency BluePo!nt, dedicated to the happiness of Bulgarians.
The research was conducted in February this year among the urban population.

Couple jailed in Spain over 1.6-mn euro wine heist
A Spanish court on Monday jailed a couple for stealing 45 bottles of wine worth over 1.6 million euros from a hotel restaurant in what police called a "meticulously planned" theft.
A bottle of Chateau D'Yquem 1806 worth 350,000 euros was among the wines stolen from the Atrio hotel in Caceres in southwest Spain in October 2021 in the heist which made global headlines.
