PM wants Serbia to transition to "knowledge-based economy"

She spoke at the Petnica Research Station near Valjevo, in western Serbia, at the opening of the 16th annual regional conference gathering young scientists, dubbed, "Step into Science."

According to her remarks published by the government, Brnabic also that "an economy based on innovations is an economy where we rely on our own resources."

Student trains bees to detect diseases

BELGRADE - High school graduate Nemanja Filipovic from the Thirteenth Belgrade High School managed to train bees to detect aromas of very slight intensity, and this achievement can be used in medicine, detection of cereal diseases and other purposes.

Filipovic carried out the project as the student of the Petnica Science Centre together with his colleague Andjela Donevic.

BELGRADE - Four young programmers from Serbia won three medals at 26th International Olympiad in Informatics that closed in Taipei on Sunday , leader of the Serbian team Nikola Milosavljevic has stated.

The Serbian programmers scooped two silver medals and one bronze at this year's competition whić
brought together 311 participants from 82 countries.
