Tüpraş, OMV Petrol Ofisi, Turkish Airlines named Turkey's top three companies

Tüpraş, OMV Petrol Ofisi and Turkish Airlines have been named Turkey's largest companies by a leading economy and business magazine. 

The results of the Top 500 Private Company Survey of Turkey, organized by Capital Magazine in Vodafone's main sponsorship, were announced in a ceremony held in Istanbul late on Dec. 14, Anadolu Agency reported.

OMV says it has received initial bids for Turkey's Petrol Ofisi

OMV CEO Rainer Seele said the company has received initial bids for Petrol Ofisi, a leading company in the Turkish oil products retail and wholesale market, on Nov. 9. 

The initiated a process to sell up to 100 percent of its wholly owned subsidiary OMV Petrol Ofisi A. S. last February. 

Do?an Holding to open lawsuit against union head for 'baseless' claims

Do?an Holding Deputy President of Corporate Communications Ahter Kutadgu has said the group will open a lawsuit against Petrol-?? President Ali Ufuk Ya?ar for his "baseless" accusations over Petrol Ofisi's acquisition process. 

Ya?ar has claimed the privatization process of Petrol Ofisi was not transparent. 

Organized matters in the media

Ayd?n Do?an, the honorary chairman of the Do?an Group, and Ersin Özince, the head of the ?? Bank executive committee, have allegedly formed an "organized crime body" to carry out certain operations of Petrol Ofisi, a fuel distributor once owned by Do?an Holding before all of its shares were sold to Austria's OMV in 2010.
