Apache announces Australian oil discovery
US energy firm Apache on Monday announced an oil discovery off northwestern Australia which it said could potentially represent a new oil province for the country.
The find at the Phoenix South-1 well is the first for Apache Energy in the Canning Basin, some 180 kilometres (112 miles) north of the Western Australian town of Port Hedland.

Petrom strikes oil under shallow Black Sea waters
OMV Petrom, the largest oil and gas producer in South-Eastern Europe announces the success of an exploration well drilled in the Black Sea's shallow waters, where tests point to a 1,500-2,000 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE)/day production potential, according to a company release remitted to AGERPRES on Wednesday.

London event to showcase hydrocarbon blocks

In cooperation with the Greek Embassy in London and the ESCP Europe Business Schools Research Center for Energy Management (RCEM), the government in Athens is preparing a major showcase event in the British capital next week to present the blocks to be conceded for hydrocarbon exploration in the Ionian Sea and south of Crete.

Total Seeks Drilling Company for Black Sea Gas Exploration
The Bulgarian branch of French petrol company Total announced a public tender for exploration drilling in the Khan Asparuh gas field off the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
The expected price of the drilling is around BGN 100 M, reports Capital daily.
The estimated gas deposits in the Khan Asparuh field are between 42 and 84 B cubic meters of gas.
