Turkey to receive first set of Sputnik V vaccine this month

Turkey expects to receive the first shipment of the Russian Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine during May, said the country's health minister on April 30.

"So far, Turkey administered nearly 23 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, and we currently have 6 million doses still on hand," said Fahrettin Koca at a news conference in the Mediterranean Antalya province.

Israeli Health Ministry said on Sunday it is examining a small number of cases of heart inflammation in people who had received Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, though it has not yet drawn any conclusions.

Pfizer said it has not observed a higher rate of the condition than would normally be expected in the general population.

Additional Vaccine Doses Arrived in Bulgaria

Today, 62,010 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine and 50,400 doses of AstraZeneca arrived in Bulgaria, reported the Ministry of Health press office.

Moderna drugs manufacture supplied38,400 doses of their vaccine yesterday, the press office added.

The delivered jabs were immediately distributed among regional health inspectorates across the country.
