Romanian pharma industry's turnover close to 70 bln lei this year
The turnover of Romanian drug manufacturers, distributors and pharmacies was 66.6 billion lei in 2020, up 2.6 percent from 2019 and over 100 percent higher compared to 2010, shows a survey by KeysFin - one of the most important providers of business information solutions in Romania - based on Finance Ministry figures.
More than 200 newly infected
One person died.
There are 8 patients on respirators, out of 305 hospitalized.
Experts have been calling for days to respect measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus and appeal to young people to respond to vaccination because that is the only way to bring the epidemic under control.

Thousands of Anti-Vaccine Demonstrators Protested in Greece
Thousands of anti-vaccine demonstrators protested in Greece's two largest cities Wednesday against plans to make coronavirus vaccines available to children 15 and older.
The protests took place outside parliament in central Athens and in the northern city of Thessaloniki.

Experts warn about exponential spread of Delta, urge vaccination
Ljubljana – Exponential growth in coronavirus infections presages a new Covid-19 wave that could continue into autumn, said the head of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), Milan Krek. He and infectious disease specialist Mateja Logar warned about imported cases, especially in light of the highly-contagious Delta strain, calling for vaccination.
