From All Over Europe Only in Bulgaria Women Smokers Are More Than Men

In the European Region of the World Health Organization (WHO) only in Bulgaria the women who smoke are more than men. This was what Professor Mihail Okolyyski from the office of the world organization in Bulgaria said.

He said that in this region 28% of the adult population smoke and he also pointed out that people who smoke have a higher risk of getting a heart attack.

Police Found 6 Tons of Amphetamine at a Port in Varna, Bulgarian Seaside

Six tons of amphetamines are caught at the port of Varna - West, the press service of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in the seaside town reported today.

The drug is detected using the risk analysis method.

Amphetamines were found in 300 sacks in a container and the product in it was declared as citric acid.

Two arrested in Igoumenitsa for drug trafficking

Port authorities in Igoumenitsa, northwestern Greece, seized 6.5 kilograms of heroin from a car shortly before it was supposed to board a ship destined for Ancona in Italy.

According to reports, the stash was found with the help of a sniffer dog during a search of the vehicle, which had license plates from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Greek Authorities Seize 11 kg of Heroin at Athens Airport

Greek authorities have seized 11 kg of heroin hidden in the luggage of a British citizen at Athens International Airport, police said on Friday, reported Reuters. 

Police said the 38-year-old man, who flew to Athens from the Pakistani city of Lahore via Doha, is part of a broader heroin ring trafficking drugs from Asian countries to Greece. He was arrested on Wednesday.
