Next two months critical; we need to flatten the curve

The next two months will be critical. We will remember them for the rest of our lives. Greece's state sector must be staffed with capable individuals who don't simply rely on their party background and connections. Recent reports of failed political candidates and party cadres being appointed to agencies of the country's broader public sector are a cause for disappointment.

Paradigm shift

Restoring the integrity of Greece's key institutions should be top priority after what the country went through in the past four years at the hands of the previous, leftist administration.

The new conservative government will have to show determination in this task, but it will have to combine this with a good measure of wisdom and moderation.
