Facebook today announced a new version of its Messenger chat app designed for children ages six to 12. Called Messenger Kids, the new app does not require a Facebook account — due to federal law, users under the age of 13 cannot legally sign up for Facebook.

US company Facebook opens a new office in London this week by making the British capital the most important engineering center outside the US with the creation of 800 jobs, the company said.

More than 2,300 people will work for Facebook in the UK.

Actor Gerard Butler adopted a puppy from Bulgaria. He even released a photo with it on social networks Facebook and Instagram. As a comment to the dog, he wrote:

"I'm grateful for the new little puppy in my life. She was homeless and I saw her while I was filming in Bulgaria. Stole my heart, "Butler wrote.

On Wednesday, Facebook announced a new portal that lets users see which Internet Research Agency-linked Facebook pages or Instagram accounts they liked or followed between January 2015 and August 2017, when the pages were shut down, reported BBC. 

The Internet Research Agency is a troll farm with ties to the Russian government.

A new pilot project to prevent the publication of intimate pictures on the Internet without the consent of the people on them began in Australia, Focus reported.

Called Superzoom, the feature lives inside the camera on the Instagram app. You can access it by swiping along the bottom of the screen among the camera options. 

To use Superzoom, just press and hold the shutter button. The camera will automatically zoom in, complete with dramatic sound effects. Superzoom works on both the rear and front-facing cameras.

However, what attracts the attention is the hot celebrities that choose our country for their vacations.

Media that relie on Facebook's access to an audience may soon have a serious problem, reports webcafe. 

The social media has begun tests in six countries where the main News Feed excludes all content generated by news or companies. Instead of automatically appearing to all users, these posts will be filtered into a separate stream - the so-called Explore Feed.
