BELGRADE - The Finnish government will help the Serbian hydrological services recover from flood-caused damage with a donation of hydrological equipment worth EUR 100,000, said the participants of Friday's initial meeting on a project for rehabilitation and modernisation of hydrological and meteorological observation systems and data exchange procedures in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Tajik opposition leader killed in Istanbul after assassination warning
Tajik opposition leader Umarali Kuvatov was killed in a gun attack in Istanbul late on March 5, days after he warned Turkish authorities of a possible assassination.
Kuvatov, the leader of Group 24, an opposition movement in Tajikistan, was reportedly walking on the street in the Fatih district after having dinner at his friend's house when an unknown assailant shot him in the head.

Nineteen-year-old Asl? Alk?? returned home Feb. 20 after becoming the first Turkish woman to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain.
Alk??, a member of Ku?adas? Mountaineering and Nature Sports Association in the western Turkish province of Ayd?n, took six days to accomplish the mission, which ended on Feb. 18.
