Balmy weather confusing nature
The grass is unusually green this winter and snowdrops and primroses were in bloom as early as December. Bees have been enticed out of hives and storks failed to make their journey south. The unseasonably warm weather is causing confusion everywhere.

Fairy chimneys appear in Lake Van due to drought
With the waters receding in recent years, microbialite fields, described as "underwater fairy chimneys," have appeared in Lake Van in the eastern province.
In Lake Van, considered the world's largest soda lake, water withdrawal continues to increase severely due to drought caused by climate change and global warming.

"We were shaken up"
The ground shaking was recorded for about 4 hours with the epicenter about 15 kilometers southwest of Valpovo.
According to the data of the Seismological Service of Croatia, the magnitude of the earthquake was 3.0 on the Richter scale, and the intensity at the epicenter was estimated at III-IV of the EMS scale. Some citizens of Valpovo were awakened by the earthquake.

Türkiye to witness meteor showers for three months
Following the solar eclipse that occurred yesterday, Türkiye will enter a three-month period of meteor showers, in which the skies will turn into a colorful feast zone, an expert has said.
"There are some rare events happening in space in some special periods and this is one of them," Hasan Ali Dal, an academic from Ege University, said.
