Crime boss Vlastos gets another 26.5 years for apartment bomb

Convicted crime boss Panayiotis Vlastos was given an additional 26.5-year prison sentence on Friday after a court found him guilty of arranging for a bomb to be placed outside an apartment block in Larisa, central Greece, in July 2014, resulting in a blast that caused serious damage but no injuries.

Suspected Xeros helpers detained after refusing to answer questions

Two suspected accomplices of convicted November 17 terrorist Christodoulos Xeros (photo), Angeliki Spyropoulou, 22, and a 39-year-old man with the code name Iasonas, were remanded in custody on Thursday after appearing before an investigating magistrate.

Both refused to answer any questions, according to sources.

Crime boss Vlastos gives lengthy testimony in extortion racket case

Convicted crime boss Panayiotis Vlastos faced an investigative magistrate in Athens on Tuesday over charges of allegedly running a large-scale huge extortion racket from maximum security Korydallos Prison. Vlastos is accused of managing the ring along with fellow inmates Yiannis Skaftouros and Vassilis Stefanakos.

Police arrest young female accomplice of convicted terrorist Xiros

"Aggeliki," a suspected accomplice of convicted terrorist Christodoulos Xiros, was arrested on Monday morning at Salamis by the Greek police.

The young woman was reportedly helping Xiros while he was still at large to plan the escape of the imprisoned members of the Conspiracy of Fire Cells militant group from Korydallos prison.

This is the close associate of N17 terrorist Xiros

According to police authorities, the 39 year old arrested with code name "Iasonas" was a close associate of N17 terrorist Christodoulos Xiros and member of terrorist organization "Pirines".

He was arrested on Saturday morning, after his fingerprints and DNA was identified on bombs and organization hideouts.
