Police officer injured in sports riot has leg amputated
The 31-year-old police officer who was nearly killed in a sports-related riot last week had to have his left leg amputated at the thigh, the Nikaia General Hospital in Piraeus announced on Tuesday.
18-year-old hooligan confesses to attack against police officer in Rentis
An 18-year-old man confessed on Sunday to the assault against a 31-year-old police officer that occurred on Thursday night during a volleyball match between local rivals Olympiakos and Panathinaikos in Rentis, Piraeus.
The police officer is currently in critical condition at the General State Hospital of Nikaia.

Migrants try to board commercial boats from Rhodes
Hundreds of homeless undocumented refugees and migrants staying on the streets of Rhodes Island, Dodecanese tried to board commercial boats to Piraeus port on Sunday morning. Police and coastguard officials blocked their way.
According to state media ERT, the refugees and migrants returned to the streets after seeing the heavy blockage from the police.
