Court confirms plagiarism in renowned Turkish author's novel
A court has ordered renowned Turkish author Elif Şafak and Doğan Publishing to pay a total of 252,000 Turkish Liras ($8,320) in damages to Mine Kırıkkınat for copying her work.
The case was brought to light by Turkish author Kırıkkanat, whose work "Fly Palace" was copied by Şafak in her "Flea Palace."

Ralph Lauren accused of copying Mexican Indigenous designs
The head of a Mexican cultural affairs commission and wife of the country's president on Oct. 20 accused U.S. fashion brand Ralph Lauren of plagiarizing Indigenous designs.
"Hey Ralph: We already realized that you really like Mexican designs," Beatriz Gutierrez wrote on social media.
Controversial Judges Chosen for Romanian Constitutional Court
The bicameral Romanian parliament on Tuesday elected two new judges at the Constitutional Court - Bogdan Licu and Laura-Iuliana Scantei, both of whom are believed to be close to President Klaus Iohannis.
Licu, who was nominated by the Social Democratic Party, PSD, for the position, was supported 208 lawmakers in the Chamber of Deputies while 93 voted against.
