Australian rock legend Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds are headlining this year's Ejekt Fetsival at Plateia Nerou (Water Square) in Palaio Faliro on Athens's southern coast, in a lineup that also includes English rockers Editors and Wolf Alice, and American act Protomartyr in its first appearance in Greece. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Papakonstantinou & Malamas | Athens | June 9
Two of most prominent artists in Greece's art-house genre, Thanasis Papakonstantinou and Sokratis Malamas, are on tour promoting a joint recording project - "Me Stoma pou Yela" (With a Smiling Mouth) - released in February to critical acclaim and will be performing at Plateia Nerou (Water Square) in Neo Faliro on Athens's southern coast on Saturday, June 9.

Release Festival | Athens | May 31, June 1 & June 17
Jamiroquai, Thievery Corporation, London Grammar, UB40, Rag'n'Bone Man and Parov Stelar are among the headliners on the bill for this year's Release Athens, one of the main events on Greece's music festival calendar. The three-day event will be taking place at Plateia Nerou, a prime location right on the seafront in Faliro, southern Athens, on May 31, June 1 and 17.

Greek Rock Extravaganza | Athens | June 10
Some of Greece's most iconic rock acts will be getting together under one roof on Saturday, June 10, to celebrate the genre. Yiannis Angelakas & 100°C, Diafana Krina, The Last Drive, The Big Nose Attack and Holy Monitor will be joining forces at Plateia Nerou (Water Square) on Athens's southern coast from 5 p.m.

Release Festival | Athens | June 2-17
Jamiroquai, Thievery Corporation, Royksopp and Archive are among the headliners on the bill for the Release Athens music festival. The perfect opener for the summer season, the three-day event will be taking place at the seaside Plateia Nerou (Water Square), in Faliro, southern Athens, on June 2, 16 and 17.

Athens by bike
Attica will soon have a network of bike paths uniting northern Athens with the seaside in Faliron. The existing network of bike paths from Faliron Bay to Gazi-Thission will extend towards Kifissia with a northern network of bike routes that is 16.7 km in length and will cost 10 million euros to build.
