Twelve Athens playgrounds to close over safety concerns 

Twelve playgrounds in the Municipality of Athens will close for safety reasons as they lack an updated operating permit, following a decision of the city council on Wednesday.

The playgrounds will receive extensive renovation before they reopen to the public, which is expected to be in June for some of them.

PM Orban says some movement restrictions within localities to be eliminated as of 16 May

Prime Minister Ludovic Orban said on Monday that, as of 16 May, "it is certain" that the restrictions regarding the movement within localities will be eliminated, however, he mentioned that the movement between localities will be made only with certain restrictions, which are to be established. "In terms of the interior of the locality, it will be a movement without restrictions.

Toys and antiseptics drive online sales

Toys and personal care products have evolved into top-priority commodities, according to demand on the price comparison website Skroutz.
In the period from March 9-29 sales by electronic stores that work with Skroutz jumped 41 percent from February, with toys and sports items rising 70.4 percent and cosmetics (a category that crucially includes antiseptics) growing 54.3 percent.

Students turn old fabrics into canvas bags

High school students in the Black Sea province of Samsun turn old items into rag dolls and bags within the scope of the Zero Waste Project.

The students make their own belongings by turning old socks, clothes and fabrics into cloth bags with cloth dolls as an alternative to plastic toys and dolls in the visual arts lesson with the support of the school administration.
