Earthquake in Bulgaria with a Magnitude above 4.5

There was an earthquake in Bulgaria around 3:30 p.m. today. According to the European Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale. The epicenter is 17 km southeast of Plovdiv, 3 km from Asenovgrad and 146 km from the capital, according to data from the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

Bulgaria: Partial State of Emergency has been Declared in the Karlovo villages of Karavelovo and Bogdan

The municipality of Karlovo declared a partial state of emergency for the villages of Karavelovo and Bogdan due to rising water levels in the river. There is no danger to the population, said the mayor of Karlovo, Emil Kabaivanov.

"A new case of African swine fever has been discovered in a wild boar found in the territory of Perushtitsa." This was announced by the director of the Regional Directorate of Forests in Plovdiv, Miroslav Dimitrov, immediately after the meeting of the Regional Epizootic Commission, quoted by BTA.

Plovdiv Municipalities Will Receive Over BGN 2 million to Deal with the Consequences of Disasters

The government has allocated over BGN 33 million  to municipalities to deal with the consequences of disasters.

Over BGN 2 million are intended for several municipalities in the Plovdiv region, including Karlovo and Perushtitsa.

The Kuklen Municipality will have approximately BGN 386,000 for emergency landscaping on the Yavrovo-Dobralak municipal road.
