Poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal
The Russian double agent was poisoned in March in the English town of Salisbury, along with his daughter. They were found unconscious next to a park bench. After carrying out tests, it was found that they were poisoned by a nerve agent known as "Novichok" which the UK claims, is produced only in Russia.
President Vladimir Putin said on Sept. 12 that Russia knew the real identity of two men accused by British prosecutors of trying to murder former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Britain.
Yulia Skripal, who was poisoned in Britain last month along with her father, a former Russian spy, has said she did not wish to take up the offer of assistance from the Russian embassy in London.
