Police find drugs, pistol, taser in Sfakianakis’ car

An Athens court on Monday gave pop singer Notis Sfakianakis until Wednesday to prepare his defense after he was arrested on Sunday evening on charges of possessing a small quantity of cocaine and an unlicensed pistol. 

He was arrested in the southern Athens suburb of Elliniko during a routine check of his car for compliance with coronavirus restrictions by motorists.

Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office Orders Inspection in Arsenal Factory in Kazanlak

The Special Prosecutor's Office has ordered an inspection in the Arsenal factory in Kazanlak in connection with the seized 17 Kalashnikov rifles, 15 Makarov pistols and 12 barrels on December 4, presumably manufactured and illegally taken out of that factory, the Special Appellate Prosecutor's Office said.

Ioannina man arrested over large weapons cache

Police in northwestern Greece have seized an arsenal of weapons and ammunition from the property of a 76-year-old man on the outskirts of the town of Ioannina.

In an announcement published on Thursday, the Hellenic Police (ELAS) said that investigators acting on a tip-off raided the man's house and a nearby shed on Wednesday.
