CHP leader says he expects early polls in fall
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu reiterated his argument that the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) will call for snap elections set for next fall.
"I think there will be an election in the fall," he said, speaking to TV100 broadcaster on Feb. 4.

Parliamentary commission decides to revoke immunity of HDP’s Güzel

At least nine terrorists killed in cross-border op
Turkish forces "neutralized" at least nine YPG/PKK terrorists in northern Syria, across Turkey's border, authorities said yesterday.
According to the Defense Ministry, the terrorists attempted to attack the Operation Peace Spring zone, where Turkey carried out a cross-border operation in 2019.

Former SYRIZA minister says if party returns to power it should pack judiciary, state with its cadres
Former SYRIZA alternate migration minister Tasia Christodoulopoulou has said that if the party returns to power it should pack the judiciary and public administration with its own cadres, as PASOK had done when it came to power in 1981.

Erdoğan vows to continue fight against terror
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has vowed the fight against terror will continue and said Turkish security forces were able to get into the hideouts of the illegal PKK group.
"We will continue our fight until there is no more terrorist left," he said on Jan. 30 at a ceremony for urban transformation projects in the Black Sea province of Trabzon.
