Aleksa Bečić dismissed; URA: "Forming government a priority"; "To be continued" VIDEO

The initiative was signed by 38 opposition MPs led by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
Bei said that the allegations in the proposal for his dismissal were not substantiated.
He said that it was absurd to ask for the removal of the president of the parliament, because a two-thirds majority on the necessary issues was not reached and the judiciary was not unblocked.

The no-confidence motion was proposed to parliament on November 30 by all 40 opposition MPs, but the opposition withdrew it before the vote, due in parliament on Monday.

Katnic was deeply unpopular with the former opposition for his role in securing guilty verdicts for 13 people - including two opposition leaders - accused of plotting to overthrow the previous government in 2016.

Montenegro Opposition Ends Boycott With Call for Elections

Leaders of the strongest opposition alliance in Montenegro, the URA movement and the Democrats [Demokrate] are heading to Brussels next week to present what they call a plan to overcome the long-lasting political crisis in the country.

The leader of URA, Dritan Abazovic, and the Democrats' chief, Aleksa Becic, will meet the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn, early next week.
