Democratic Bulgaria Declines GERB’s Invitation for Consultations on Government

"We verbally and in writing have declined an invitation for a meeting with the candidate for Prime Minister nominated by GERB," announced at a briefing in parliament Atanas Atanasov, Vice-President of Parliament from the quota of Democratic Bulgaria. Earlier today GERB invited the representatives of Democratic Bulgaria which is GERB's fellow member in the European People's Party.

Another proposal to include unaffiliated MPs in parliament’s bodies defeated

Ljubljana – A proposal to reshuffle parliamentary working bodies to include four unaffiliated MPs who have recently defected was rejected on Tuesday after the first was voted down last week. Nevertheless, the centre-left opposition parties and the unaffiliated MPs intend to keep trying so that, they say, democracy is not undermined.

President Radev Will Start Consultations with Parties on Possible New Government

In accordance with the Bulgarian Constitution, President Rumen Radev will hold consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups in the 45th National Assembly.

These consultations will precede the handing over a mandate to form a government to the candidate nominated for Prime Minister from the largest parliamentary group - GERB-UDF.
